
Nadja Michael - Judith** (Italy and various countries representation)
Nadja Michael studied singing in Stuttgart and at the University of Bloomington/Indiana,
USA.
She is regular guest in the most prestigious theaters in the world, singing for
the most renowned conductors of our time. She sang in the Arena di Verona, in Glyndebourne
and at the Salzburg Festivals. She worked together with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
more than once, for example as Brangäne in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde under
Daniel Barenboim and as Didon in Berlioz’ Les Troyens with Zubin Mehta.
In February 2007, she had a great success as Salome at La Scala in Milan, followed
by an equally impressive success singing Fidelio at the Wiener Staatsoper.
After such successful productions like Salome at the ROH Covent Garden London, she
made her debut as Médée by Cherubini at La Monnaie in Brussels, 2008. After that
she performed: Lady Macbeth in Macbeth in Chicago and at the opening of the
08/09 season at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich where she returned as Medea in
Medea in Corinto by G.S. Mayr; Marie in Wozzeck by Berg under Daniel
Barenboim at the State Opera Unter den Linden in Berlin.
Nadja Michael was awarded many prizes for her various opera roles and artistic performances.
Especially noticeable was the granting of the goldenen Stimmgabel von Arte
for her performance as Salome in 2008 and a nomination in the category Opera with
Salome at the Royal Opera House in London, for the highly treasured South Bank Show
Itv award 2009.
More recently she performed: Lady Macbeth in Macbeth at the Metropolitan
Opera New York; Médée by Cherubini at the Téâtre des Champs Élysées Paris;
Poppea in L’Incoronazione di Poppea by Monteverdi in Madrid and at the Théâtre
du Châtele in Paris; Die Sache Makropulos in Munich; Erwartung at
the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto (2014).
Plans include: Tristan und Isolde in Amsterdam; revivals of Die Sache Makropulos
in Munich and a series of concerts in South America.

Mariusz Trelinski – director* (Italy representation)
Stage director and artistic director of the Polish National Opera, Mariusz Trelinski,
began his career in cinema and theatre before moving to the world of opera. He has
revived the classical genre and bestowed on it the dynamism of our times. His
highly acclaimed Madame Butterfly premiered at the PNO in Warsaw
in 1999 was transferred two years later by Plácido Domingo to the Washington National
Opera.
Since then, Trelinski has worked regularly with the world’s leading theatres and
conductors, such as D. Barenboim, K. Nagano, L. Maazel, V. Gergiev and C. Rizzi.
Subsequent opera productions include: Otello (PNO), Don Giovanni (Los
Angeles), The Queen of Spades (Berlin, Tel Aviv), Andrea Chénier and La Bohème (Washington), King
Roger (St. Petersburg, Edinburgh), Boris Godunov (Vilnius), Orfeo
ed Euridice (Bratislava), two one-act operas, Aleko and Iolanta with
Anna Netrebko in the title role (St. Petersburg, Baden-Baden) and Onegin (Valencia,
Bologna). His version of La traviata (PNO 2010, Savonlinna
2013), was set in the spirit of Bob Fosse’s film All That Jazz. Later
productions include Turandot, The Flying Dutchman, Manon Lescaut,
a co-production with the La Monnaie and Cardiff theatres. His latest production,
Henze's Boulevard Solitude at the Welsh National Opera, was
hailed by “The Times” as “better than perfect”.
M° Trelinski makes his debut at the Metropolitan Opera.
